Each event we host contributes to specific grants, scholarships, and community programs.
Cam Christian Memorial
The Top Tier Sports Cam Christian Memorial tournament has been organized in memory of Cam Christian, who grew up playing baseball in Auburn. He was the team captain at Seattle University at the time of his death in October of 2011. His desire was to some day coach baseball, teach the game he loved and give back to the community that supported him. Proceeds will go to local baseball programs.
Carson Trey Styron Foundation
The Top Tier Sports Carson Trey Styron Memorial tournament has been organized in memory of Carson Trey Styron, who started playing baseball with FME (Fife Milton Edgewood Little League) at the age of 5 and grew to love the sport. Carson was tragically taken on June 5, 2016 in an ATV accident. The Carson Trey Styron Foundation has been set up to keep the legacy of Carson alive for generations to come. While impacting communities, as we know Carson would have continued to do in his life.
KPSL Foundation
Top Tier Sports dedicates a tournament to the KPSL Foundation. The mission of the KP Sports Leadership Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3), is to support young athletes in reaching their highest potential through various forms of leadership and access to sport. Through participation in youth sports, athletes will benefit from the positive impact within their own physical and mental health. The KP Sports Leadership Foundation, through various programs and scholarships, looks to create a pathway to meet the needs of our youth while molding them into future leaders.
Reese Widman Memorial
The Top Tier Sports Reese Widman Memorial tournament has been organized in memory of Reese Widman. Reese was a fierce competitor on the baseball field. He worked hard but also had such a gift. Reese Widman ended his own life with an intentional car accident on January 7th, 2023. He was seventeen and a senior at Steilacoom High School. Reese was silently suffering with depression from what he revealed in the notes he left to friends and family. He asked that we make sure no one else hurts themselves and left his well-known quote, “Do what I couldn’t do; get help.”
Pink Out Tournaments
The Top Tier Sports Pink Out tournaments has been organized to allow players to request scholarships for team fees or grants for baseball gear.
Aaron Pointer Classic
The Top Tier Sports Aaron Pointer Classic tournament has been organized to honor members of the Northwest Baseball Community who have stepped up and played a part in growing the game and opportunities in under resourced communities. This tournament highlights the legacy of Aaron Pointer and his focus being centered around community.
